2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on a device or accesses through a browser. They can, for example, enable the basket, secure sign-in, remembering a country or currency, and saving privacy preferences.
Pixels, tags, local or session storage, device identifiers and other technologies serving similar purposes may also be used. In this Policy, the term "cookies" includes these similar technologies unless the context indicates otherwise.
A cookie may be a session cookie, which is normally deleted when the browser is closed, or a persistent cookie, which remains until its stated expiry, manual deletion or withdrawal of the relevant consent.
3. Categories of technologies
Essential cookies
Essential cookies are necessary for security, operation of the store and provision of a function you expressly request, such as the basket, checkout, sign-in, localisation and saving privacy choices. Consent is not requested where they are genuinely strictly necessary. Blocking them in your browser may prevent certain core functions or completion of a purchase.
Functional cookies and preferences
These remember optional preferences or enable enhanced functionality. If they are not strictly necessary for a function you requested, they are used only after the appropriate choice has been made in the privacy preferences.
Analytics cookies
These help us understand how the store is used, where visitors come from and whether pages work correctly. In the European Union and European Economic Area, they are activated only after appropriate consent.
Marketing cookies
These may be used to measure campaigns, associate activity across Shopify services and display more relevant content or advertising. They are activated only after appropriate consent.
4. Shopify cookies used by the store
Our store uses the Shopify platform. The following list is taken from the official Shopify Cookie Policy for stores using Shopify and was reviewed on 26 August 2026. Some cookies are set only when a visitor uses the related function, such as the basket, a discount code, signing in to Shop, Shop Pay or a password-protected store.
Additional technologies associated with store functions are added to this list when it is confirmed that they store information on or access a visitor's device. Optional technologies are activated only after appropriate consent.

5. Shopify Network Intelligence, Shop and Shop Pay
Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled in the store. Depending on selected preferences and consent, Shopify may associate visit and purchase data with a user's interactions on other Shopify stores and services for security, platform operation, personalisation, analytics and advertising.
Shop and Shop Pay are used only when a visitor chooses the relevant function. Cookies associated with those services are listed in the tables above. For optional purposes, Shopify must respect the choice made through our banner and cookie preferences.

6. External links
A link to Instagram or another external website does not itself set that external service's cookies on the Adria Gifts domain before the user opens it. Once the external website is opened, that third party's privacy and cookie rules apply to its processing.
If we embed third-party content in the future, such as a video, map, social plug-in, analytics tool or advertising pixel, we will determine its purpose, duration and legal basis before activation and, where necessary, connect it to the consent mechanism.
7. Giving, refusing and withdrawing consent
On a first visit from a region in which consent is required, Shopify's cookie banner allows you to accept, refuse or customise optional categories. Refusal must be as easy as acceptance, and optional categories must not be preselected.
You can reopen and change your choices at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the store footer. Withdrawal of consent applies to future use of the technologies and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Refusing optional cookies must not prevent you from viewing products, adding them to the basket or completing a basic purchase. Functions that rely on a particular voluntarily selected technology may be restricted until the relevant consent is given.
8. Browser settings
Most browsers allow you to view, block and delete cookies. These settings vary by browser and device. Deleting cookies may remove a saved privacy choice, causing the banner to appear again.
Blocking all cookies, including essential cookies, may prevent the basket, localisation, sign-in, checkout or other core store functions from working.
9. Transfers and further information
Shopify and certain app providers operate internationally, so cookie-related data may be processed outside the European Economic Area subject to appropriate safeguards. Further information about recipients, international transfers and rights is available in our Privacy Policy and the policies of the relevant providers.
10. Changes and regular review
We review this Policy and the list of technologies after a change to the theme, an app, Shopify Pixels, an analytics or advertising tool, checkout functionality or another part of the store that may store information on or access a visitor's device.
A new optional technology must not be activated before its purpose has been established, it has been described in an appropriate notice and, where necessary, it has been connected to valid consent. We will publish a new version and effective date on this page when this Policy changes materially.
