This page provides general information about products included in Adria Gifts gift boxes, safe use, reporting potential problems, and the steps taken if a product is withdrawn or recalled. Information relating to a specific gift box and the individual products it contains is provided with the offer for that gift box and on the products' original labels, depending on the type of information and the applicable rules.
1. The role of Adria Gifts
Adria Gifts assembles and sells predefined gift boxes made up of products obtained from suppliers. Individual products remain in the manufacturer's original packaging. Adria Gifts does not manufacture their contents, decant alcohol, oil or other products, repackage individual products, or alter their contents.
As the seller and distributor, Adria Gifts is responsible for its obligations towards the customer, including the accuracy of gift-box descriptions, appropriate assembly and transport packaging, handling complaints, and responding to potential safety issues. The fact that an individual product was made by another manufacturer does not restrict the customer's statutory rights against Adria Gifts.
2. Information about a specific gift box
The information provided depends on whether the gift box contains food, beverages, alcohol, cosmetics, jewellery or another type of product. Depending on the applicable rules, the offer for a particular gift box and the original product labels may include:
- the product name, image, variant and product code;
- the contents of the gift box and the quantity of each product;
- the brand, manufacturer and responsible person in the European Union where required;
- ingredients and clearly emphasised allergens for food products;
- net quantity and, for alcoholic beverages, alcoholic strength;
- intended purpose, instructions for use, storage conditions and necessary warnings;
- information enabling the product to be identified, including a photograph where applicable.
This general page does not replace mandatory information about a specific product. The best-before date, use-by date and other details that may vary by batch are shown on the delivered product where applicable. If any information important to a safe purchasing decision is unclear, please contact us before placing an order.
3. Original markings and safe use
Adria Gifts does not remove or intentionally obscure the original labels, warnings or markings on individual products. Depending on the product, these may include:
- the name and contact details of the manufacturer or responsible person in the European Union;
- the batch number, LOT code or another identifier;
- the best-before date or use-by date;
- ingredients, allergens, instructions and warnings;
- excise stamps or other official markings.
Read each product's label and warnings before use. People with allergies, intolerances, medical conditions, pregnancy or other specific needs should check the composition and, where necessary, seek advice from an appropriate professional.
4. Food and non-alcoholic beverages
Store and use food and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with the manufacturer's label. Before use, check the ingredients, allergens, storage conditions and date. Do not consume a product if its safety seal is damaged, its packaging is leaking, it has an unusual appearance or smell, or its use-by date has passed.
5. Alcoholic beverages
Alcoholic beverages are available only to adults and must not be supplied to persons under the age of 18. Before use, check the alcoholic strength, label, warnings and the condition of the bottle or closure. Do not consume the product if the bottle is damaged, the closure is defective or there are signs of leakage. Alcohol should be consumed responsibly. 6. Cosmetic products
Use a cosmetic product only for its intended purpose and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and warnings. Check the ingredients before use if you have a known sensitivity or allergy. If an adverse reaction occurs, stop using the product and seek advice from a healthcare professional where appropriate. If it is safe to do so, retain the product, packaging and batch marking for reporting purposes.
7. Jewellery, boxes, chess sets and other products
Use jewellery, gift boxes, chess sets and other non-food products only for their intended purpose. Check the manufacturer's information about materials, use, care and safety warnings where provided. Stop using the product if you notice damage, an unusual change in the product or an adverse reaction.
8. Reporting a safety issue
If you believe that a product may be unsafe, stop using it immediately and email us at iva@madaboutit.hr. Where possible, include:
- the order number;
- the name of the gift box and the individual product;
- the batch or LOT code and any date shown on the product;
- a description of the problem, event or observed risk;
- whether an injury, adverse reaction or other harm occurred;
- photographs of the product, packaging and markings, if you can take them safely.
Photographs can help us identify the problem more quickly, but they are not a mandatory condition for making a report. Do not send medical records or other health information that is not necessary to describe the event. In an emergency, contact a doctor or the emergency services immediately. Reporting an issue to Adria Gifts does not replace medical assistance or your ability to contact a competent authority.
9. Withdrawal, safety warning and recall
If Adria Gifts, a manufacturer, supplier or competent authority determines that a product may present a safety risk, we will take appropriate measures. These may include suspending sales, separating affected stock, directly notifying identifiable customers, publishing a safety warning or recall notice, and cooperating with the supplier, manufacturer and competent authorities.
A recall notice will clearly identify the product and affected batch where known, describe the risk, explain what the customer should do and state the free remedy available. The customer does not bear the cost of a recall measure organised by Adria Gifts. Depending on the product, risk and applicable rules, the remedy may include a safe replacement, a refund or another statutory remedy.
If you receive a safety warning or recall notice, follow the instructions immediately. Do not continue to use or consume a product for which you have been instructed to stop use.
10. Product identification and available information
When handling a safety report or recall, we use available information about the order, the contents of the gift box and the markings on the specific product. Therefore, where it is safe to do so, retain the product, packaging, label and batch marking until you receive further instructions.
The processing of personal data in connection with safety reports and recalls is described in the Privacy Policy. This page does not restrict the customer's rights relating to lack of conformity, complaints or compensation.
