Business activity and the trader's role

Adria Gifts sells predefined gift boxes consisting of products from independent manufacturers in their original packaging. Adria Gifts does not manufacture the individual products contained in the boxes, alter their contents, decant products or remove their original labels.

Adria Gifts is the customer's contractual partner and the seller of the gift box. This role does not limit the trader's statutory liability towards the customer, particularly in relation to proper delivery, conformity of the goods with the contract, complaints, the right of withdrawal, refunds and action in the event of an unsafe product or recall.

Written complaints and dispute resolution

A consumer may submit a written complaint by email to iva@madaboutit.hr or by post to Mad About It d.o.o., Dugoselska ulica 10, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia.

Adria Gifts will acknowledge receipt of the complaint without delay and provide a written response no later than 15 days after receipt, clearly stating whether it accepts that the complaint is well founded.

Adria Gifts and the consumer will first attempt to resolve any dispute by direct agreement. If the dispute is not resolved in this way, the consumer may propose that it be resolved before the Mediation Centre at the Croatian Chamber of Economy (Centar za mirenje pri Hrvatskoj gospodarskoj komori), Rooseveltov trg 2, 10000 Zagreb, email: mirenje@hgk.hr, https://www.hgk.hr/centar-za-mirenje. Participation in mediation is voluntary and does not restrict the consumer's right to judicial protection.

These relationships are governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia. If a dispute cannot be resolved by agreement or mediation, the court in Zagreb having subject-matter and territorial jurisdiction will have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection provisions or applicable European Union rules entitle the consumer to bring proceedings before another court.
